Madiera Europeans has been exciting, exhausting, extremely fun and full of great athlete performances including Virginia Mitchell.

I’m very happy with my results:

  • 3 x gold medals:
  • 400m individual
  • 4 x 400m relay mixed
  • 4 x400m relay W60
  • 1 x silver: 800m

Also, a World Record in 4x400m relay W60 in 4:30mins and British Record in 800m in 2.27.2mins

We have 2 days to enjoy Madera away from the track and then we fly home on Weds.

Well done and thank you to YAC coaches for your support. Thank you to Tony for always being there for me and to Jonty for his fab photos every day as official photographer for the 2 weeks of this championships!

Tony Mitchell (AquaTone) was relay Coach for the British GB Team and we won many relay Golds. We did not drop a baton!
