Walking Rugby Team

Esher Bishops are the Walking Rugby players at Esher. This is a slower paced walking version of the game aimed at the over 50’s but open to anyone over 18. We are a mixed team that meet twice a week for training. During the summer, we attend a number of Walking Rugby festivals where we get the chance to play against other clubs.

We aim to be very inclusive - men and women are welcome to join whether they have played before or not and we mix up the sessions to be both competitive play and friendly “walk outs”. It is also useful as a slower pace game for those getting over injuries from the running versions of the game.

You are never too old to start playing rugby and new faces are always welcome.

We meet on Mondays at 6.30pm til 8pm finishing off in the bar and on Fridays 10am - 12pm finishing with a coffee and sometimes cake!

Feel free to reach out for more information and/or to schedule a free trial session.  We hope to see you on the pitch soon!!
