Esher’s 3rd XV, The Abbots, re-launched in September 2017 and play in the Surrey Premiership. The young squad train twice a week and offer players a route to 2nd XV and even 1st XV rugby. Our opposition is typically the 2nd XVs of Surrey clubs and we have established a reputation for fast, flowing rugby and high skill levels.
A fun attitude to the game (and the post-match activities) doesn’t mean that we don’t take things seriously, with a planned approach to coaching from two RFU Level 2 coaches and access to specialist input from the club’s senior players and coaches.
We do our level best to make sure that everyone gets as much game time as possible and always remember that our aim is to develop every member of the squad so that they can become the best player that they are capable of being.
