Esher continue their great form in the Waterfall Cup with a second successive 6-0 win within regulation time.
A blistering start by Esher was an indicator of things to come as the E's brought their 'A' game to Battersea.
Two early tries meant Ironsides had an uphill battle, mentally and literally due to the sloping pitch.
Esher played with great intensity, forcing errors from the opposition and capitalising on the breakdown with excellent rucking.
Solid scrummaging from the forwards meant that we kept our advantage and some lovely passing lead to another try.
Battersea were struggling to get out of their half and Esher were growing in confidence.
Some great crash ball / pod work forced another try to make it 0-4 at the break.
The second half was more of the same with the boys fitness coming to fore and allowing some good carries despite the incline. Eventually the pressure told and E's broke through for a fifth try.
Waterfall Cup rules state that a team six tries up are declared winners and with the boys being aware of this ruling, they pushed hard for try number six. It wasn't long before they sealed the win in what was arguably their best performance to date.
