The club runs seven senior sides ranging from the truly serious to "social" rugby and caters for players of all abilities, sizes and ages. The 1st XV play in National League One, come along and support us on Match Days, the ticket price is reduced for Members. The 2nd XV, known as the 'Cardinals', plays in Division 1 of the Rugby Tech Shield League while the Development Squad focuses on skills development and game understanding, alongside regular friendly fixtures. Age relevant players also represent Esher in the Surrey U21 Cup competition.
The Amateur 1 (The 'Priors'), Amateur 2 (The 'Friars'), Amateur 3 (the 'Bees'), who play in the Surrey Merit Tables, and the Veterans (known as the 'Expendables') are all for players who prefer the more social side of the game.
Training for the social teams is on THURSDAY at 6.30pm.
In the summer months, there is also a touch rugby session every Thursday evening from 6.15pm at which all players are welcome: good for those who need a midweek run-out to improve their fitness.
Seniors - Code of Conduct
Esher Rugby expects all its player to conduct themselves appropriately on and off the pitch.
Disciplinaries result from any inapproriate conduct and may result in membership being withdrawn, and for players, in being banned from the Game. We are all bound by the IRB/RFU regulations. The Clubs Equity policy lays out additional boundaries to the Conduct and Spirit of the Game which is laid below, as defined by the RFU. Discrimination of any sort will not be tolerated. Mini and junior players are bound by additional Codes of Conduct and details of these can be found on this website.
