Esher Rugby

FIRSTLY A BIG CHEER FOR MAXIM, hip hip, hooray! For yet again turning up, with no intention of playing,
but just to train with, and support, his team; that is true team spirit, and we should all salute Maxim. There are times when even Rugby can seem like a waste of time - Sunday was one of those.

Rubbish weather, rubbish conditions and rubbish preparation which resulted in a rubbish performance.
If we learnt anything (and it was hard to see how anyone learnt anything from the morning) it's that if
you turn up, no matter what the conditions, we have to be mentally strong enough to just see it out
and give our best. We didn't. Next week, please, positive attitudes, minds on from the start, and let's
get back to the glory and progess of the past 2 weeks.

It was cold and horrible but it was the same conditions for the other teams, both of which we should
now be beating not losing / drawing with. Anyhow, one to forget, move on from, but takeaway from it that ATTITUDE is everything. If Maxim can
turn up to support, the least we can do is give him something to watch and be proud of. Chris
