Olima signs for another year
Esher RFC is pleased to announce that Paul Olima has signed for another season at Molesey Road.
Having joined the Club in 2013, Paul switched not only clubs but also sports, arriving in Surrey having played semi-pro' and professional football. Settling in on the wing, and making his debut for the 1st XV that season, showed not only his work ethic, but also his athleticism.
Paul dealt with spates of injuries this season, but his enthusiasm on and off the field makes him a valuable asset to the Club, and he explained why he has signed on for another year at Esher:
"I had offers from other teams in leagues above, and in France, but I told Mike straight up I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. From the tea lady and match day staff, to the players and coaches, the aura and atmosphere is always a positive and happy one. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else."
"This is a top, top club and it brings a smile to my face every time I come in the front gates."
Having struggled in National One this year Esher want to lay down a marker for next season, and have ambitions of not only a top four finish, but challenging for the League. Paul has similar ambitions whilst wearing the black and amber:
"My goal for next season is an average of 12 carries per game and becoming top try scorer in National One, whilst winning the league in the process."
