Club and 1st XV captain, Kench has been a real driving force ever since he arrived at Molesey Road, from Nottingham, in the summer of 2011.
Imperious at the line-out and one of the National League’s master tacticians, Kench has a glittering CV, having represented England U18s, and Loughborough University, during which time he captained England Students. He went on to win two Blues for Oxford University, in 2008 and 2009, where he obtained an MSc in Water Science Policy and Management, before stints in the professional game followed, at Sale Sharks and Nottingham.
A severe knee injury in the home game against eventual league winners Ealing Trailfinders in mid-February prematurely curtailed Kench’s year, but with a full pre-season under his belt, the 26-year-old is fully fit and looking forward to what will be his third campaign in the black and amber jersey.
